Welcome to my ePortfolio!
My name is Ashlee and I am an Assistant Professor of Geology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. My research interests focus on geochemistry, geomorphology and soil genesis. I have a B.S. in Earth Sciences from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an M.S. in Soil Science and Ph.D. in Geosciences from Penn State University. I also spent a year abroad studying French at the Universite d'Aix-Marseille in beautiful Aix-en-Provence, France. I am originally from San Diego, California but I am learning to appreciate the seasons and all they have to offer!
Aside from teaching and research, my hobbies include speaking/reading French, playing flute, running, dancing, traveling, and looking at rocks and soils pretty much anywhere I go. I also love the ocean, sunshine and Mexican food.
The purpose of this portfolio is to provide an overview of my teaching and research interests and some details about myself. Thanks for visiting!
